Office of the Registrar

 
 
The Office of the Registrar at Gustavus Adolphus College is responsible for maintaining accurate records of student academic progress while assuring the privacy and security of those records. It is the office authorized to issue official transcripts, to certify the enrollment and attendance of students, to award degrees, and to maintain other matters of record. It schedules classes into existing facilities, schedules students for classes, and records and reports grades. The office assists the academic community in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as privacy rights, academic calendars, testing and grading practices, and recording of academic achievement. It also assists the officers and committees of the institution by providing analyses and reports required for policy formulation.

Students have the right to confidentiality of their records and the right to inspect them. No one, other than Gustavus staff members, is allowed access to these records without the student's prior formal consent.

Did You Know?

Noted Australian-born composer Percy Grainger toured with the Gustavus Band in 1941 and with the choir in 1942. He returned to the campus several times in the late 1940s to conduct and perform with the band.
