ABSTRACT:
The Montevideo District collection contains treasurer’s books detailing district finances.  The Montevideo District of the Lutheran Minnesota Conference of the Augustana Synod was located in Central Southwestern Minnesota.  The Montevideo District was formed in 1940 from the western area of the dissolving Winthrop District.  Area from the abolished Worthington District was incorporated in 1946.
