ABSTRACT:
The Carlton District collection contains minutes from district meetings. The Carlton District of the Lutheran Minnesota Conference of the Augustana Synod was located in Northeast Minnesota. The District included parts of Aitkin, Carlton, Cass, Itasca, Pine, and St. Louis counties. Carlton District formed during 1918 from areas that were previously part of the Duluth District; it dissolved back into the Duluth District in 1957. Some of this collection is in Swedish.
