ABSTRACT:
The Annual Messenger newspaper collection contains the Commencement 1891 issue of the Annual Messenger.  The newspaper was the first paper ever issued at Gustavus Adolphus College, and it was published under auspices of the Literary Circle of Gustavus Adolphus College.  While printed mostly in English, some articles are in Swedish.  The Annual Messenger was succeeded by Vox Collegii, Heimdall, Gustaviana, the Gustavus Adolphus Journal, College Breezes, and The Gustavian Weekly.
