ABSTRACT:
The travel diary of Leo Hoefer consists of one diary and a letter of agreement for the payment of $444.00 to Hoefer written in German as well as a copy in English. The travel diary contains pictures of his father, the ship, places visited, tickets, maps, national anthems, programs, and logs of places visited. Hoefer graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1911. He was the Principal of a Chicago high school. In 1931 he went on a sabbatical leave and traveled to France with his father and studied there for six months.
