This is a picture of a strange mountain on the peninsula of Paraguana, where the sand dunes are. The whole peninsula is absolutely flat, except for one strange mountain in the middle and no one is sure why it got there. |
This is a picture of a little creek that goes through the beach town we go to and empties into the ocean. They use these little boats to get around and to take people from beach to beach. The creek runs through the mountains, and the people who live there, use it as their major source of water for drinking, bathing and washing clothes. High in the mountains, the creek looks a little cleaner! |
This picture is of a group of children in a mountain village called Gavidia. Tyler and a few of the girls in our program are standing behind the children. They thought we were pretty weird, but enjoyed it when we gave them a bag of Cheetos. |

El pabellón criollo, plato tipico de Mérida, Venezuela |
This picture is of me, Hannah, and our friend, Carlos, dancing salsa. Our school had lessons for us to learn the three most popular dances here, Salsa, Merengue and Tambores, the typical dance associated with the coast of Venezuela. |
