Gordon Mansergh AwardFederal Government Public Health Internship Award
Purpose
The Mansergh Award is open to students of all majors who will complete a public health internship or Interim Career Exploration for academic credit with a federal government agency. The purpose of the Award is to help Gustavus students learn first-hand about working on health issues for the betterment of humankind that have implications for national or international public health research, policy and practice.
Financial Support
The Award recipient will receive an estimated award of $1,200. The Award will be distributed in the form of reimbursement for internship-related travel and living expenses. The Award recipient is required to submit receipts that document these expenses in order to receive reimbursement.

Eligibility Requirements
- Currently registered student at Gustavus Adolphus College in Good Academic Standing
- Senior academic status
- Not on any type of Gustavus Adolphus College probation
- Participating in an Interim Career Exploration or Internship for academic credit with a Federal government agency, and addressing a public health issue
- Federal government background security clearance as required by the agency serving as the Interim Career Exploration or Internship site (may be pending at time of Application)
Application Process
Applications for the 2016 Mansergh Award are due on Wednesday, November 15, 2016.
Interested students should download and complete a copy of the Mansergh Award Application. All applications should be typed and submitted to Career Development.
