Dr. Stockmann teaches courses in art history and arts administration with an emphasis on interdiscplinary research and networked histories. Stockmann's research focuses on the history of artist processes and plant politics including eighteenth-century indigo production and nineteenth-century drawing and material culture. Stockmann's approach to art history is intersectional and focuses on enslavement in the Atlantic World and its tethers to visual culture and ways of making.
