ARTICLE I. NAME The name of this organization shall be The Fourth Crown. ARTICLE II. PURPOSE The purpose of The Fourth Crown shall be to provide respectful, satirical commentary on the happenings of Gustavus Adolphus College and to engage with the campus community through a committed online presence. ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP Membership on The Fourth Crown's contributing staff shall be determined by a majority vote of all current members, following a submission of two satirical articles as a writing sample. ARTICLE IV. ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Section 1: The Fourth Crown's offices shall consist of (2) co-Editors-In-Chief, a Managing Editor, a Campus News Editor, an Off the Hill Editor, and a Life and Style Editor. These positions be occupied by a member of The Fourth Crown at all times. Any given member of The Fourth Crown can hold multiple offices at once. Section 2: The structure of The Fourth Crown shall consist of at least two editors-in-chief, who shall be elected by majority vote of all members of the group. Section 3. The Fourth Crown shall have one Managing Editor, who shall be appointed by the Editors-in-Chief. Section 4. The Fourth Crown shall consist of Editors of the Campus News, Off the Hill, and Life and Style sections. These editors shall be appointed by the Editors-in-Chief. Section 5. The Fourth Crown may also have any number of contributing writers. ARTICLE V. MEETINGS This organization shall have meetings scheduled on an as-needed basis. Important information shall be disseminated through email or group text. Members of The Fourth Crown shall be aware of others' contributions through dedicated following of The Fourth Crown's Google Drive folder. ARTICLE VI. FINANCES Funding shall be secured by the Treasurer through fundraising opportunities or Student Senate application. Date of Ratification: 3 March, 2014.
