- The purpose of this club shall be to give the opportunity to play baseball to men who still want to play baseball but cannot play here at the DIII Level. The team will be competitive in the games they play and build relationships between the members. Above all else the team will respect the game and their competition and operate according to Gustavus's key values.

Article I This organization will be known as the Gustavus Men’s Club Baseball. Article II The purpose of the Gustavus Men’s Club Baseball will be to represent the College in the exhibition games that are played. Article III Membership will be open to any male who is a student at Gustavus Adolphus College and who shows dedication to the team and ample participation. Article IV The formal officers of the Gustavus Men’s Club Baseball will be a Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, and Risk Manager. Section I The titles of the officers will be President (Coach), Treasurer, Secretary, and Risk Manager. Section II Qualifications for officer positions will be class standing of sophomore or higher and good academic standing (i.e., cumulative quality point average of 2.0 or higher). Section III The duties of the President(s) will be: (a). To preside over all club meetings as required. (b). To assist the Treasurer in any way and correspond all team activities to its Faculty Advisor, (c). To direct the baseball team on the playing and practicing fields. (d). To attend all league meetings. The duties of the Treasurer will be: (a). To keep accurate records of the team’s budget. (b). Responsible for RFP's as well as presenting and creating the budget for student senate. (As well as applying for mid-year allocations if necessary) (c). Assist and coordinate with the Secretary. The duties of the Secretary will be: (a). Assist Presidents in schedule all games and scrimmages, including times and locations. (b). To confirm all scrimmages and games. (c) To be present at games to keep score and stats. Section IV The procedure to remove an officer will be to bring the matter to the club membership for a vote. It will take a two-thirds vote for removal. Section V The procedure for filling a vacancy will be to meet the requirements already stated in Article IV, Section II. Majority vote wins. Article V Officer elections will be held during the spring semester before the first set gam. Article VI There will be no regular club meetings. There will be a team practice held each week during the season. Special club meetings will be called at the discretion of the President and will be made known through all available communication mediums. Section I The team must be represented by at least two-thirds of its members to conduct meetings. Article VII Financing for the club will come from the Cooperative Activities Office through the Student Government Association and from current members if need be. Section I The team’s finances are to be planned and organized by the Treasurer in consultation with the President and the Student Finance Committee. Article VIII There will be no standing committees. Article IX Amendments to the Constitution may be made by a two-thirds vote of the voting quorum. Article X Ratification of this Constitution will be made by a two-thirds vote of the voting quorum.
