This is a place to broaden knowledge and share ideas relevant to these areas while also having fun.

K-Pop Club Constitution
Article I - Name
This organization will be referred to as the "K-Pop Club”.
Article II - Purpose
K-Pop Club is established for the sole purpose of creating a community to experience, discuss, and share knowledge regarding aspects of Korean Culture.
Article III - Membership
Membership of the K-Pop Club is limited to students currently enrolled at Gustavus Adolphus College. Members are accepted throughout the school year. Membership is open to students that express interest in K-Pop, Korean dance, Korean dramas, Korean Movies, Korean variety shows, Korean language, and Korean culture in general. The Kpop Club does not restrict membership or discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, personal appearance, age, national origin, political affiliation, physical or mental disability. The following requirements will be met to maintain active membership:
1. Attendance of at least 3 meetings during a given semester.
2. Abidance of College and Club policies and procedures.
Article IV - Officers
The K-Pop Club will be comprised of the following committee members:
1. Advisor - Provides counsel and support to the organization’s officers.
2. President - The President will be responsible for planning, organizing, and upholding meetings. They will assume responsibility of keeping all members informed of a meeting’s purpose, location, and time. The President will maintain the power to appoint all committee chairpersons and shall present all motions to the body present. They are the designated spokesperson for the club. The President must be a primary source of information and maintain contact between fellow officers, other members, and the advisor.
3. Vice President - The Vice President's duties shall be to preside at all meetings or functions that the President cannot attend and otherwise assume all of the President’s responsibilities if they are unable.
4. A Social Media Coordinator (Secretary) - Will control all postings and information for the club to be presented to the public through social media. All postings will be approved by the President. Postings must be appropriate and uphold College and Club policies.
5. Treasurer - The Treasurer will manage money given by members for supplies/events. They will also purchase the necessary supplies needed for the Club. When making purchases they will always keep track of receipts and spending.
6. Risk Manager - The only position that can hold another office at the same time. The Risk Manager is in charge of member’s safety during club activities. They will make sure all policies are being upheld.
All committee members must be a currently enrolled student at Gustavus Adolphus College, and at least one committee member must be present at any club meeting. Elections for committee members will be completed in the last month of Spring semester based off majority vote.
Article V - Operations
1. Voting Eligibility
a. Those members meeting all requirements of active membership as set forth in Article III will be granted voting privileges.
2. Election Process
a. All officers shall be elected by a majority vote of eligible voting members of K-Pop Club. All elections will be held on an annual basis during the last month of Spring semester with at least one week’s notice given prior to the meeting where elections are to be held. Terms of office shall begin immediately upon end of that Spring semester to resume in Fall.
b. The President will take nominations from the floor, the nomination process must be closed and the movement seconded. The nominated parties will be allowed to vote.
c. All voting shall be done by secret ballot to be collected and tabulated by the Secretary-Treasurer and one voting member of K-Pop Club appointed by the outgoing President.
3. Removal
Any committee member of K-Pop Club in violation of the organization's purpose or constitution may be removed from office by the following process:
a. A written request by at least three members of the organization presented to any committee member.
b. Written notification to the officer of the request, asking the officer to be present at the next meeting and prepared to speak.
c. A two – thirds (2/3) majority vote of eligible voting members present at the meeting is necessary to remove the officer.
Article VII - Amendments
1. The constitution is binding to all members of the "K-Pop Club", although the constitution is not binding unto itself.
2. Amendments to the constitution may be proposed in writing by any voting member of K-Pop Club at any meeting at which 2/3 of the voting members is present.
3. These amendments will be placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting of the executive council or other officer grouping.
4. Proposed amendments will become effective following approval of two-thirds (2/3)-majority vote of active members.
Article VIII - Registration Renewal
K-Pop Club will apply for Organization Recognition on an annual basis no later one month after the Involvement Fair.
Article IX - Finances
The K-Pop Club is a non-profit organization that does not require membership fees or funding.
