2015-2016 Peer Assistant Workshops

The Peer Assistants (PAs) offer an array of workshops* for Residence Halls, students orgs, and class groups! Whether planning a workshop for a hall section, fraternity/sorority, or a combination of groups, the PAs will work with leaders to provide the following programs according to the group's needs and relevant topics individuals are experiencing. Simply click on the blue “REQUEST A PRESENTATION” tab (along left column) to complete your request!

Mirror Mirror on the Wall – This is a positive body image workshop about YOU!

The Power of Positive Action – Learn bystander intervention techniques to have a positive effect on potentially harmful situations: Direct. Distract. Delegate.

Be a Buddy – Care for yourself and care for others by learning basic harm reduction techniques for your social life and parties.

Girls Night Out – Learn safety and harm reduction tips for going out together, female contraceptives, and STIs (females only).

Sex in the Dark – Learn all about safe sex, contraceptive options, and abstinence; take this opportunity to ask real questions about sexual relationships.

Never Too Busy to Relax – Take time to relax for an hour with fun and games as well as breathing and meditation plus learn techniques to use in your daily routine.

Guy Stuff – Hang out with some guys and talk about STIs and contraceptives (males only).

Let's Talk about Identity – It is important to figure out who you are, who you want to be, and where you are headed.  Using the values cards, we'll talk about our unique identities.

*In addition to the pre-existing workshops, the PAs would like to partner on a series of other opportunities: “Perk Up” events, “Cheer Up” packages, “Get Your Chat on with a PA” sessions, and more.
