Be U Wellbeing Group CoachingWellbeing

- Do you have a vision for your wellbeing?
- Do you have fitness goals you want to achieve?
- Do you want to explore the mind-body connection?
- Do you want to get more sleep?
Be U Wellbeing Group Coaching (Be U) is a free signature program of the Wellbeing Initiative that supports exploration of purpose, vitality, and connection. Be U fosters a campus culture in which you care for yourself, and for the growth and development of your peers. As a group, you honor each other as the experts in your lives, and believe every person is creative, resourceful, and whole. Together you explore the life you want to be living, both now and in the future—and how to harness your strengths to invest in your own personal and professional potential.
How can Be U benefit me?
Our groups provide positive, confidential settings to help you gain a better understanding of what wellbeing looks like for you. They help you identify and use your personal strengths to achieve your wellbeing vision. This strengths-based approach will help you grow in self-awareness, give you strategies to overcome challenges, and help you thrive.
Typical coaching topics include relationship difficulties, adjustment to college, academic concerns, grief and bereavement, stress management, goal setting, decision making, test anxiety, and questions related to career and identity.
How do the groups work?
WHO + WHAT: All Gusties (assigned to groups of 6 students)
WHEN + WHERE: Hour-long weekly meetings throughout fall semester 2014 (8 meetings). There are various group meeting times; you commit to the same group and time each week.
WHY + HOW: Take time for yourself and explore what is important to you with others in an interactive and confidential setting. Learn how to be present in the moment, develop skills in deep listening, affirmations, asking questions, critical thinking, and self-awareness and acceptance.
