Subject: | Gustavus Adolphus College Strategic Plan Working Group Reports |
During the 2007-2008 academic year, the Gustavus community embarked on a strategic planning process that led to the unanimous approval on 25 April 2008 by the Board of Trustees of the Gustavus Adolphus College Strategic Plan. Simultaneously, members of the campus community initiated the planning related to specific initiatives within the Strategic Plan. The co-chairs of these Working Groups sent out an open call to all interested members of the community in order to begin the work. Meetings were held throughout the year with the understanding that the work, once completed, would be broadly shared with the Gustavus community.
Four of these Working Groups (Community Service, Learning/Living Communities, Leadership, and Environmental Stewardship) have completed their draft recommendations. My sincere thanks to the co-chairs and all participating members for their hard work under tight timelines. The recommendations are available through a password protected site and will be included as part of the expanded engagement with the College Strategic Plan led by President Ohle throughout 2008-2009. Feedback on these reports is welcome and will also be forwarded for inclusion in the process.
Additional Working Groups continue and/or will start their work this semester. These groups include Health and Wellness, Interfaith Dialogue, and Cultural and Global Competency. As these and other reports become available, they will be added to this site.
