Supporting StudentsWellbeing
The Gustavus approach to the wellbeing of our students includes supporting students in all aspects of their lives to enable them to achieve success. A comprehensive set of services and resources—including the Wellbeing Center, Health Service, and the Counseling Center—exist to address the full spectrum of students’ wellbeing needs. Resources and guidance are available to help employees respond in cases of student mental distress or to proactively reduce student health impediments to academic success. You are also uniquely positioned to influence and inspire each student with whom you interact; you regularly connect and communicate with students, and can observe emerging difficulties to better guide them. The healthier our students are, the better prepared they will be to succeed in a rigorous academic environment and in the years that follow their time on “the Hill.”

Use the Wellbeing Initiative logo on signage or promotional materials. The Wellbeing Initiative logo is a visual cue that highlights opportunities throughout campus for students to make a decision or to take action that can positively contribute to their overall wellbeing. The stamp can be used on signage or promotional materials for events, programs, or other initiatives throughout campus that are connected to wellbeing and quality of life. Visit the For Student Org Leaders for more information about when and how to use the stamp.
