What is the Wellbeing Initiative?
The Wellbeing Initiative promotes optimal living through education, research, and engagement programs that support personal discovery, holistic health, and lifelong learning. Please stop by the Wellbeing Center (located in the lower level of Jackson Campus Center) to learn more about the Initiative.
Can I get information from the Wellbeing Center for papers and other assignments and/or for personal use?
Yes, the Wellbeing Center has many resources to support students. Topics include: nutrition, fitness, tobacco use, drug issues, alcohol, healthy relationships, sexual violence, STIs, stress, body image, diversity, socio-economic issues, mental health, spirituality, and more.
Is the Wellbeing Center where I go if I am ill or injured?
While the Wellbeing Center works closely with Health Service, it is NOT where you should go if you are ill, injured, or need medical care. Students should go to Health Service located in the lower level of Jackson Campus Center, across from the Book Mark.
Can I contact the Wellbeing Center for referrals to help me address a problem?
The Wellbeing Center is always a place to consider when you are in need of any health issues. We can refer you to many valuable contacts and resources to better assist you.
Can the Wellbeing Center help with a friend who is in need?
One of the most common requests made at the Wellbeing Center is advice for how to help a friend in need. Whether the situation is body image, mental health, or alcohol habits, the Wellbeing Center can provide information and advice, and refer you to additional resources.
